la Dogana del Buongusto, Milan, Italy

la Dogana del Buongusto is a very nice Milanese restaurant close to not far from the major tourist attractions. The cellar like atmosphere really adds to the dining experience.

The food is based around traditional Milanese foods and the presentation and quality is very good. If you are looking for a traditional italian restaurant (although I am not sure what that is) then la Dogana del Buongusto is probably not for you.

Great traditional food and the portions were enormous. The beef cooked around a large wood stick is very interesting and veal Milanese was larger than the large plate. They also offer a wide selection of wines to accompany the meal.

You will find local groups and families at the restaurant all having a good time.

Getting there

The restaurant is in the heart of Milan, and the best way to travel is either on foot, by tram or bus. Driving to the restaurant is also possible but parking may be an issue as most car parks are a couple of blocks away.

Travelling by Tram take route 3 and hop off the tram at the Colonne Di San Lorenzo stop. Cross the Via Molino Delle Armi and walk east about 50 meters.

Bus route 94 stops on Via Molino Delle Armi almost directly outside the restaurant.
